Penang Street Art Painting, Malaysia

The history of Penang began in 1786, when Captain Francis Light struck a deal with the Sultan of Kedah. He acquired Pulau Pinang (Penang Island) from the Sultan on behalf of the East India Company, which in return promised Kedah protection against its powerful neighbours.

I had fun with a gang of friends on today Penang one day trip (June of 6th), walking around Penang Heritage Area and my skin almost sunburn, keep sweating and sweating along the whole trip. Well, Penang actually have a lot of interesting places to stopped by. Today, we go to Penang street arts there which contains a lot of creative paintings from those creative artist whom drew on the wall with different type of theme. Their artworks are so beautiful and cute! However, those artworks had been drawn for almost more than one year so the coloring of the painting may be fade a little bit but it is still a nice place to visit and take photo as part of your memory. I had captured some photos and share it to you guys so take your time and enjoy reading  my story of my day.

This picture is telling a story of a petty trading neighbourhood where you can find activities such as drying of salted fishh and basket weaving. "NO MORE PLASTIC BAGS MEH?" in Penang, they carry out the recycling project that is everyday no more plastic bags in every shopping mall while you buy grocery department to built a greener Penang.

The striking of the lone ironsmith's hammer can still be heard along the street once every tod had to be fashioned by heat and hand not machines.

" Reaching Up" depicts a little boy reaching for a hole in the wall. He appears to be standing on a chair and inching himself as high as he could reach. The painting was created by Ernest Zacharevic in conjunction with the 2012 George Town Festival. Since its completion, it has grown increasing number of visitors coming to take photos with it.

Actually I don't know how to describe it, but this stuff is near the bicycle rent shop there, you may go and take a look.

This two picture are related to YEOH clan.

This painting actually have two themes. On the left is the little boy with pet dinosaur mural. The fact that the dinosaur is rendered in the form of child-like graffiti expresses the creative mind of small children and how they merge fantasy with reality. The right one is boy on a bike.

"Boy on a Bike" is painted on the side door of a shophouse. It shows a boy hanging out on his motorcycle as he watches the pedestrian traffic passing by along the street. The mural is immediately to the right of another Zacharevic piece. "Little Boy With Pet Dinosaur.
